Travel funding:
The TENOR Network offers partial or full travel stipends up to a maximum of 400 Euro for all participants accepted to the conference by the selection committees whose travel costs are not fully supported by an institution they are affiliated with. All may apply for a travel stipend. Should we, however, receive too many applications, applicants fulfilling one or more of the following funding criteria will be prioritized:
- Unaffiliated researcher/artist: Applicants who currently have no professional affiliation with an institution that could cover their travel.
- Graduate Student: Applicants enrolled in a graduate degree-granting program in the 2020-2021 and/or 2021-2022 academic year(s).
- Women: Applicants identifying as a woman or other gender minority.
- Low- or middle-income country: Applicants whose professional affiliation is based in a country listed [in the PDF document attached]
- BIPOC: Applicants identifying as Black, African-European or African-American, Indigenous or People of Colour
- Queer: Applicants identifying as LGBTQIA.
Travel stipend applications are informal but must contain the following elements:
Why do you need this travel stipend? (max 1/2 page)
If any of the priority funding criteria apply to you, please detail all that apply.
PDF scan of main passport page and, if applicable, student registration document for 2020/21 or 2021/22.
Which amount do you request? (your travel budget with PDFs of online quotes for ticket and hotel, visa application costs, registration fee).
The stipend will take the form of a refund on the actual costs you incurred, up to the sum of the stipend. Also: please note that while we aim to support you as much as possible, TENOR travel stipends will in most cases not be able to cover ALL your travel costs.
Please send your application to tenor2022-chairs@prism.cnrs.fr latest by 1st May 2022.
